10 Days Gorilla safari is much stunning to both Great Apes lovers and birders, the trips begins from Entebbe – Kampala to Queen Elizabeth National Park with interesting stopover at the Uganda equator for amazing photos, snacks and informative talk, lunch en-route and later have your overnight in the nice set African lodges which blend with nature.

Enjoy game drive, bird watching, boat cruise, chimp trek in kyambura gorge, gorilla tracking.

Various bird species like Shoe bill on the fresh water swamps, the always photogenic African Fish Eagle, the Martial Eagle, African Skimmer papyrus interior species such as papyrus Yellow Warbler and papyrus Gonolek, Raptors, Bee-eaters, Kingfishers and Barbets, Tinker birds, Woodpeckers, Apalises, Honey guides, Green buls, Swallows, Larks, Cisticolas, Pipits, Chats, Shrikes, Starlings, Widow birds will be spotted and from this trip believe it Uganda is the pearl of Africa.

Day 1: Entebbe – Queen Elizabeth National Park

Today after your breakfast from your hotel of residence, you will be met by our guide or company representative and exchange happiness to each other.

Thereafter transfer via Masaka – Mbarara high way with stopover to the equator for snacks and photo shooting and then have your en-route lunch at Agip motel or Regency hotel.

Then continue to Queen Elizabeth National Park, as you go take en-route view to different animals like Ankole long horned cattle’s, view banana plantations and other green covers, en-route game drive to spot wildlife and birds which includes elephants, lions, buffaloes, hippos, and leopards, Shoe bill on the fresh water swamps, the always photogenic African Fish Eagle, the Martial Eagle, African Skimmer papyrus interior species such as papyrus Yellow Warbler and papyrus Gonolek respectively. Dinner and overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge, Katara Lodge, Enganzi Lodge or Bush Lodge. Meal plan: Half-Board.

Day 2: Queen Elizabeth National Park (Game Drive & Boat Ride)

Dawn game drive with an opportunity to view early risers and predators returning to their hideouts. These experiences takes 2-3 hours drive and thereafter return to your lodge for refreshment, breakfast and lunch.

Take an afternoon launch cruise on the Kazinga Channel the spot with the largest concentration of Hippos in Africa as well as a number of birds including migrant birds, Shoe bill on the fresh water swamps, Corncrake, Blue Swallow and Chapin’s Flycatcher, the always photogenic African Fish Eagle, the Martial Eagle, African Skimmer papyrus interior species such as papyrus Yellow Warbler and papyrus Gonolek. Return to lodge for dinner and overnight. Meal plan: Full-Board

Day 3: Birding in Queen Elizabeth National Park – Bwindi impenetrable National Park

After breakfast, go for amazing chimp trekking at Kyambura gorge which activity is much stunning after searching these un – predictable great apes in their typical mist, return to lodge for lunch.

Thereafter drive via Ishasha sector, while on this trail search for African tree climbing lion’s and bird en-route to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park and arriving in the late afternoon.

Species like Raptors, Bee-eaters, Kingfishers and Barbets, Tinker birds, Woodpeckers, Apalises, Honey guides, Green buls, Swallows, Larks, Cisticolas, Pipits, Chats, Shrikes, Starlings, Widow birds and much more are spotted. Dinner and overnight at Mahogany Springs, Buhoma Have Lodge/Buhoma Tented Camp. Meal plan: Full-Board

Day 4: Gorilla Trekking Adventure

Have early morning cup of coffee, after prepare for the briefing about dos and don’ts before you take the gorilla experience from the Uganda wildlife officials.

Thereafter enter into the jungle to search the shy mountain gorillas and enjoy their life style in their real home. When you meet the gorillas, sit around these great apes for a whole hour gazing into their big round eyes.

To enjoy this experience one has to be fit enough as well as walking shoes, packed food and mineral water, insect repellent, sun screen, rain gears, cameras and hut. The gorilla tracking experience takes half or whole day depending on the movement of these primates.

After this experience you will have informative imaginable-memorable experience in life time. Evening visit to the local communities like Batwa performances and local art and crafts, local breweries, Bakiga typical home stead’s, traditional healers. Return to lodge for dinner and overnight. Meal plan: Full-Board.

Day 5: Bird Buhoma – Ivi Trail

After an early breakfast, we find that Bwindi Impenetrable Forest doesn’t quite live up to its name as we enter it looking out for species like Black Bee-Eater, Tinker birds and Barbets, Woodpeckers, African Broad bill, Green buls, White-bellied Robin-Chat, Red-throated Alethe, Chapin’s Flycatcher, Red-faced Woodland Warbler, Grauer’s Warbler, Mountain Masked Apalis, Bocage’s Bush-shrike, Luhder’s Bush-shrike, Pink-footed Puff back, Petit’s Cuckoo shrike, Starlings, Sunbirds, Black-billed Weaver, Brown-capped weaver, among others. Lunch, return to lodge for dinner and overnight. Meal plan: Full-Board

Day 6: Buhoma – Munyaga Waterfall Trail

Have an early breakfast and after start to look for birds like Bar-tailed Trogon, Black Bee-Eater, White-headed Wood-hoopoe, Tinker birds and Barbets, Woodpeckers, African Broad bill, assorted Green buls, White-bellied Robin-Chat, Red-throated Alethe, Chapin’s Flycatcher, Red-faced Woodland Warbler, Black-faced Rufous Warbler, Grauer’s Warbler, Short-tailed Warbler , Oberlander’s Ground Thrush ,Mountain Masked Apalis, Bocage’s Bush-shrike, Luhder’s Bush-shrike, Pink-footed Puff back, Petit’s Cuckoo shrike, Starlings, Black-billed Weaver, Brown-capped weaver among other birds. Lunch, return to lodge for dinner and Overnight. Meal plan: Full-Board

Day 7: Buhoma Sector – Ruhija Birding Site

After breakfast, bird en-route to Ruhija looking out for birds like Black Bee-eater, Red-throated Wryneck, Mountain Wagtail, Toro Olive-Greenbul, White-starred Robin, Olive Thrush, Cassin’s-grey Flycatcher, Red-faced Woodland Warbler, Grauer’s Warbler, Chubb’s Cisticola, Banded Prinia, Mountain Masked Apalis, Chestnut-throated Apalis, Collared Apalis, Stripe-breasted Tit, Grey Cuckoo-shrike, Sharpe’s Starling, Regal Sunbird, Strange Weaver, Dusky Twin spot, Yellow Bishop, Black-throated Seedeater among others. Dinner and overnight at Ruhija Gorilla Resort or Gorilla Mist Lodge. Meal plan: Full-Board

Day 8: Bird Mubwindi Swamp

After breakfast, walk down to the Mubwindi Swamp looking out for species like the Black-billed Turaco, Western Green Tinker bird, Fine-banded Woodpecker, African Green-Broadbill, Shelly’s Crimsonwing, Mountain Greenbul, Yellow-streaked Greenbul, African Hill Babbler, Mountain Illadopsis, Yellow-eyed Black Flycatcher, Mountain Yellow Warbler, Red-faced Woodland Warbler, Grauer’s Warbler, Chestnut-throated Apalis, Collared Apalis, Stripe-breasted Tit, Rwenzori Batis, Doherty’s Bush-shrike, Bar-tailed Trogon, Blue-headed Sunbird, Regal Sunbird and more.

Certainly one of the highlights of any Uganda birding tours, this walk is physically challenging, but taken slowly it is quite manageable. Return to lodge for dinner and overnight. Meal plan: Full-Board

Day 9: Birding to Kisoro

After breakfast, bird to Kisoro via Echuya forest and the remaining stretch of papyrus swamp to look for the Papyrus Yellow Warbler and Papyrus Canary if we are lucky, as well as Carruther’s Cisticola, Little Rush Warbler and Fawn-breasted Wax bill among other birds.

Continue with the drive to Kisoro for lunch and later look out for birds like Handsome Francolin, Olive Pigeon, Western Green Tinker bird, Archer’s Robin-Chat, Kivu Ground Thrush, Dusky Blue Flycatcher, Mountain Masked Apalis, White-browed Crombec, Stripe-breasted Tit, Rwenzori Batis, Doherty’s Bush-shrike, Montane Oriole, White-napped Raven, Dusky Crimsonwing, Black-crowned Waxbill, Black-headed Waxbill among other birds. Dinner and overnight at Kisoro Traveler’s Hotel. Meal plan: Full-Board

Day 10: Kisoro – Kampala/Entebbe

Today we shall have our breakfast, after embark our safari truck and drive back to Kampala with lunch en-route.

Stopover at the Uganda equators for another informative talk, snacks, memorable photos and buy some nice souvenir’s to take home. Depart to Entebbe to board your flight back home. End of services, Meal plan: Half-Board
